peter1138: newstations!

Post by MeusH »

Today peter1138 committed chunks of his newstations patch that allows us to play with this nice feature.
Let's not forget other developer's help, but the major work has been done by peter1138, so thank you!

There are probably some small bugs around, but keep eye at the SVN timeline as these will be fixed, soon

Newstations are available in SVN, and will be in the nightly build, in a few hours.

Here is my [newgrf] part of openttd.cfg with newstations. They all are working and I'm very happy with it.

Code: Select all

bare_tilesw.grf
basic_platformsw.grf
brickfreightw.GRF
glassstationw.grf
jstatsw.grf
newstatsw.grf
pgs-counw.grf
pgs-freiw.grf
pgs-silvw.grf
pgs-subuw.grf
Now, let me change my stations no newstations :)

/me woohoos :D:D:D:D
I'm currently trying to merge the trunk and the YAPF branch so I can play with them both, hopefully it works.

Many thanks :D and it is a great work you did guys

The newst nightly is from yesterday. The first nightly version which includes it, will be released in about 70 minutes. So wait until it is compiled or do it yourself :)

Very nice!

Can't wait until the nightly comes! What's left to that now, 15-20 minutes?
And can someone give the download location for all those .grf's?
Just so that I get the right ones...

1 tiny little question.

What does is to do? And if I missed the post about it, where's that post?
Hope I'm not asking something annoyingly stupid here.
Cheers!

This gives users of OpenTTD the ability to use Newstations, that we can see in TTDPatch.
It gives you many different station graphics and you can choose them and put them together to make nicer stations.

Born Acorn, I didn't find all of the .grf's using it.

Edit:The nigthly is now avalible! :D Having some fun with stations now! :D

So basically it's just a graphical upgrade? Some of the screenshots here on the boards look good. Gonna give it a try now :)

I haven't even tested it, but thank you so much anyway! :P
Has anyone tried the US rural and industrial stations?
Strange that my thought instinctively turned to those two station sets...
