Working on those X-crossings:

Still have to add the metal and bushy middle pieces, but it looks like it is going to work!
Will also do Y-crossings.

Cant wait for the download! if you can, could you add some overlaps for things like inlets for smaller roads?

I dont understand:

Could you post an image and show what kind of overlap you would like?

Ahhh, I see.
Well, GarryG already has pieces in his AuzRoadObjects set to change this:

into this:
Example897.png
Example897.png (39.21 KiB) Viewed 5778 times
But to be honest, even though it looks a bit better (does need a bit better graphics, but its close), I find the actual behaviour of vehicles on it so incorrectly looking that I have no interest in them...

So, I wont be adding them to this set...

maybe add curved roads then? i think maybe a 2x2 and 3x3 would look nice on your roadset :D

Same reason, vehicles look weird on that.
OpenTTD has its limits..

ah ok, do you reckon a roundabout (planed in the middle of a 3x3 road square) would also look weird?

Draw it, maybe I'll code it in...

I am serious about this.
Its something that would be a nice addition.
You dont even need that much overlap, you just need to fill this in:

And maybe also some bigger ones, for the one-way roundabouts

maybe a 4x4 one for double-wide roads?

Mrsunman wrote: 07 Sep 2023 08:48 maybe a 4x4 one for double-wide roads?
I think that takes up way too much space.
3x3 is large enough to also add a fake third lane on the inside and can be used to recreate big roundabouts like the one around the Arc De Triomphe in Paris.
For other roundabouts, the single tile is enough.

But, to have room for one-way trafficsigns, so that the roundabout is one-way like it is supposed to be, this is the smallest possible design:
Example901.png
Example901.png (33.17 KiB) Viewed 5693 times
Like I said, I am interested in adding this, please provide graphics.
I need a version with just the outer line and a normal tile in the middle, so I can check if the placement will be correct when I code it (to make a template so to say).
Those graphics will then be replaced by actual graphics.
To elaborate, in The Netherlands we have a lot weird artworks in the middle of roundabouts, so you can have some fun with the graphics ;-)

I look forward to what you can come up with.
