There seems to be a problem when compiling OpenTTD statically with SDL 1.2.8. If you want to compile yourself, either use SDL 1.2.7 or remove the static flag in makefile.config. If you compile dynamically (not statically), you can get problems moving the binary from one computer to another
[EDIT]: made it unsticky as it's not important anymore. People can use cocoa drivers instead and they should not causes issues like this
