That's probably the best dock graphics I have seen so far. The only thing I would do, is make them a little bit less high. IMO, all the docks are far too high, compared to the ships.

Maybe you can do something with visual illusion, a là Pikka's viaduct graphics, just the other way round. :D

Ok. Here it is.

Whew, I am tired.... 3-hour non-stop painting. :) But now I can say that's it's 90% my work(the ground is from the harbour set, obviously)

Now I have a bunch of pcx and I would appreciate if someone could do the NFO file for me, i am total noob in coding, even after reading the tutorial.

I take it that the empty parking spaces fill up with trucks and containers, when there's a lot of good waiting?

It looks really fine, Lancelot!

One only detail and it will be perfect: you must use darker/lighter tones for the ramps (depending on the view it should be darker or lighter than the flat part)

Ok, I am back. What do we have?

1. Redraw the ramps
2. Add containers/trucks to show when dock is full
3. Redraw ship depot
4. CODE! :x

I'll start right now, i think first stage will be done pretty soon.

Yay. Dock ramps - done!
Image

Yay. Additional loading stages - done!

Hey, Lancelot, do you want me to send you the sepparate sprites for containers and other harbor elements?

You got the idea for the ramps! however, I think that you colored them the opposite way:
The sun comes from the right, so the ramps that head East should be the cleared colored ones, since they are more exposed to the light. The ones heading West, should be hidden from the light, and hence darker.

However, the work you did is fine! replacing and mirroring only the ramps should work

That would be great, because now I have to do two additional sets, due to the new ramp shadings...

Yeah, I screwed up. Here is the new version, also introducing the new shipyards!

I really like that screenshot especially of the new depot graphics....honestly I thought that a shed floating in middle of the water body just seem weird sometimes

still I wonder if there could be a 0-or-1 parameter (or they are seperated into a different grf) for to be able to turn these docks on/off since I have another dock graphics I like? just a thought

Thank you for your comments, people. :)
Here is the PNG, as requested. It looks even better in the game, though. The shipyard has a beacon on top.

Now, about coding. There are two options, I could post all the pcx files and offsets that I used and wait for someone to code it. Or I could try to do the grf myself, which is going to take much more time. So, what should I do?
