I was drawing station tiles the other day...
See here
Like The Irish said just underneath the linked post, the train should stop at the end of the white line on the sample station in my picture. However, because the train goes right to the end, the people in the first carriage have to jump out! (Just imagine, OK? )
So what I'm suggesting is...
Ether the GRF chooses a Tile to stop at, defined by whether the Train is fully in the station and whether the defined Tile is near the end of the station etc.
Or...
The user does something (i.e. clicks a button etc.) when building the tile / when querying the tile and it makes the train stop there.
Just a thought!
It would make a lot more complicated station layouts possible, IMO...
GRF/User chooses where the train stops in the station

I believe that's been asked before, and ruled impossible / too hard.

I don't get you...
The whole thing's meant to be a drive-through station, I just haven't drawn the ramp for the other end yet...
I see what you mean, though.

Aegir said sprites that go outside of the tile are a nightmare to code...
Because of overlapping sprites etc.
Nice idea though!
