Still you give absolute no information to use that might help us to help you. You should post things like:

OpenTTD Version, Windows/linux/whatever, SoundCard, do you do something special, ....

In other words: all relevant information. This just isn't good enough... this is like saying: the sun isn't shining! Yeah, good for you, but why are you pointing to your car? More info!!!! :)

erm... its cheaper usually to upgrade components one or two at a time, rather than fork out for a whole new computer - it means hdd's, optical drives, case and stuff which basically don't change much are bought again... However, i don;t want to start any arguments here between those who think it is, and those who think it isn't, so I'll shut up about it...

Of course, you can just disable sound ingame, which is a temporary solution... TD sound annoys me, so thats what i did... However, it does seem to have the side effect that i cannot re-enable it, not sure why though.

Do you use newgrfs ? If the answer is yes, it's probably because you add too many of them in openttd.cfg.

You have some .grfs in both their windows and DOS versions - just use the windows version; (LongBusesw.grf)
