Well there was talk of a meeting in York at the National Railway Museum, and something was mentioned about the London Transport Museum too.
Oh and there is a Yorkshire meet on the 4th of January in Leeds, anyone is welcome to join us!
Edit, not July... sorry!

In my experience, things can be organized very impulsively and still be successful. In fact that's generally how I organize all things in my life.
As for a meeting, unless the meeting is post-July or in Finland I probably wont be able to make it this time 'round due to me being on a work placement in Finland

Sounds good, I'll probably go. I assume more details and the like will be posted as time passes, right?Sacro wrote:Oh and there is a Yorkshire meet on the 4th of July in Leeds, anyone is welcome to join us!

Err... as far as I know we are meeting in Leeds, probably at the train station, on Friday 4th January at around... 11:30 for me, others will maybe be there a bit earlier. No real plans, but it'll be nice to get out the house for the day!

Wait, you were saying July earlier... If it's in January, I'm unavailible.

Andel was talking about plans for the 2008 meet a couple of months ago, but obviously he's been rather busy recently with "real life issues". I could likely organise a meet in somewhere like Edinburgh, but anywhere further south is really outside of my knowledge.

The LTM meet is still on the table if anyone is still interested.

I won't be doing a meet until about June/July time in which I am considering London as the venue... I'm only an hour from London now and by June/July I will be sorted out accommodation wise... I have had one or two thoughts as to organisation etc... the other thing I might consider is perhaps a tube/bus race as part of the day or perhaps some fun activities...Griff wrote:The LTM meet is still on the table if anyone is still interested.
The London Transport musuem might be considerate of accommodating us as I know they have meeting rooms.

I'd probably go to the NRM one, as I've been to York many a time, and it's a lot easier to get to by car, unlike most other inner city locales, with their confuddling layouts and madness. A London meet may also be do-able for me, as long as I can figure out where everything is from Marylebone, given that WSMR should be operating by then.Sacro wrote:Well there was talk of a meeting in York at the National Railway Museum, and something was mentioned about the London Transport Museum too.

You won't believe it, but.... I've finished the movie! I'm currently waiting for it to encode, but if that all goes well, it will hopefully be uploaded and ready by tomorrow!

As a starring member (I hope?) surely I get free front-row seats and a walk on the red carpet?

The video is available for all to download for free in the News forum - at the moment, my plans for streaming are slightly messed up (due primarily to the fact that Google Video only seems to have recognised the first 2 minutes of the film), but I assume the majority here have broadband of some sort, so it shouldn't be too bad to download the film.
Those who attend the 2008 meet may get a free DVD with the film and assorted extra goodies on.
