As I was part of the discussion last night, I come here representing the #tycoon IRC channel.

By all means, create such things, but REMEMBER that OTTD is not necessarily a perfectly legal project and as such any harking to a commercial release of the game (which MAY be insinuated from your box covers - however silly it may seem), could be pounced upon.

And also remember that OTTD isn't the only editor of TTD

and it would be unfair for the TTDp team aswell perhaps. I mean, the patch has evolved around TTD pretty much too.
