Re: Doctor Who (Warning: End of Time spoilers from page 18)
It would be nice if, instead of having a big flashy show where they announce who the new Doctor is going to be, they actually keep it a surprise!
Although given they'll no doubt be busy filming next year's series, the BBC would probably find it very difficult to keep it hidden from the spoiler sleuths.

Which is why, if the Doctor is already part of the cast, nobody will leak it!

Well, we will know tomorrow after the Wimbledon final...

Even though it is likely the name of the Doctor has been mentioned, the fact that no one name has been singled out yet remains impressive. Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Kris Marshall seem to be front runners, although a Tilda Swinton doctor would interest me a lot.
I still want Capaldi to remain though!

I still think Richard Ayoade would be an amzing Dr. Who.
Re: Doctor Who (Warning: End of Time spoilers from page 18)
Agreed. If it turns out to be Kris Marshall, I will feel a little bit underwhelmed. It's not a very exciting choice, is it? It's safe, bordering to overly cautious, and wouldn't really give the show anything new. Female doctor all the way.

Doctor doctor doctor! The great Christmas tradition of watching Doctor Who. Ah. I learnt two things from this episode:
Jodie Whittaker will kick ass, and gosh I do miss Clara.

Lots of spoilers in this, so i'll do the entire thing in spoiler tags.
No spoilery bit: Really good episode, good onscreen chemistry between the two actors playing the doctors. Really good episode to watch if you've not done so already.

Yes. Jodie Whittaker is the Doctor. She's the real deal. I'm going to enjoy this series.

That is easily the best episode to an opening of Doctor Who for a long time in my opinion!

That was soooo booorriinng.
It really was just so incredibly slow.
I really like Jodie Whittaker, But hate her costume in this. She looks ridiculous.
Pete.

Finally some Arctic Monkeys in there, Sheffield's finest. It's just a shame they had a *gasp* CONTINUITY ERROR. They say the t-shirt is from their first gig in Oslo, but that was 2011 (I know, they did Stockholm on the same tour) and the t-shirt is from AM which came out in 2013. I mean, totally ruins the suspense, right?
Brilliant episode, proper Doctor Who.

I have got back into this series for the first time since David Tennant. My partner (who was always a big Torchwood fan) has got back on the Doctor Who hype train and we have both been loving this series. Looking forward to the finale on Sunday!

Re: Doctor Who (Warning: End of Time spoilers from page 18)
Well tonight’s episode was rather good, wasn’t it? I remember thinking how good the show looked in series 5, with the improved “BBC America budget”, but I’m rather blown away by the production quality with the “Disney+ budget”. Having David Tennant and Catherine Tate back is great, the story was pretty decent, and I’m excited to see how the next few specials pan out!
Re: Doctor Who (Warning: End of Time spoilers from page 18)
It's back? I didn't know! And Sweden finally gets to actually view the show legally again, after years of not being on TV here. Disney+ picked it up. I guess I know what I will be watching tomorrow.

Re: Doctor Who (Warning: End of Time spoilers from page 18)
Yep. Specials on 25th, 2nd & 9th. Then its the handover to Ncuti Gatwa's doctor.
Re: Doctor Who (Warning: End of Time spoilers from page 18)
Really excited for Gatwa. I loved him in Sex Education, but he played a teenager and now he will play a super old timey wimey wobbly space alien.
My Scenarios:
Archipiélago Hermoso (Latest Release: Version 3.2)
Turnpike Falls (Latest Release: Version 0.91)
Re: Doctor Who (Warning: End of Time spoilers from page 18)
I'm not sure Episode 2 really did it for me. I never liked Donna Noble, and I feel like the 14th Doctor introduces nothing new compared to Tennant's previous stint, or even compared to his guest appearances over the years. This "end of the universe" episode was just not very exciting. Waiting to see if the Toymaker gets introduced next week, or if they're saving him for Christmas. Also eager to get going with Gatwa's incarnation.
My Scenarios:
Archipiélago Hermoso (Latest Release: Version 3.2)
Turnpike Falls (Latest Release: Version 0.91)
