Mr. X: Not to be rude, but I do like LordA's version more... It kinda gets the wrong perspective when the disc is staring right at you...

Red*Star: I love it! Please someone chop it up and code it NOW

Bubersson: thats sad... But I guess thats how life goes :) Hopefully someone will take up the project and and finnish up the graphics that aint done yet... I will make an updated version of the grf soon, with the new icons included.

Now, heres a 1st version of an Arctic forest, graphics ofcourse by Zephyris with some minor adjusting by me as usual.. I still feel that I need some snow on the logs, but my skills just dont let me do that so it looks nice... Anyone feel free to volunteer...

Constructive feedback will be appreciated!

I really like them cursors!

Few minor things:
- The circle for the (i) looks a bit squarish.
- I'd rather see a stick of dynamite instead of the bomb. I really trust dynamite more these days
- Signals should have red at the bottom (why is that? Because: if snow ends up sitting on top of the 'sunshader' (or how that cover is called), a train driver can't see the signal being red (the most important signal state not to miss!), with red at the bottom, snow doesn't have anything to sit on)

Apart from that, good job!

You are not rude aslong if it's constructive criticism (and it is  ).

Then I guess the transmitter Lordazamath modified is good to go? If there aren't any objections to that design? :))

Re: bubersson
Nice! Very consistent and clear, and a good style reference for all future icons/cursors!

Re: Trond
I quite like the logs with no snow on, they look freshly cut.

Re: Mr. X
Personally I prefer lordazamath's transmitter too, it does seem a bit odd to have one dish staring straight at you...

Re: Red*Star
I think the oil rig is excellent, and brightness can easily be altered with some 8bpp hacks :). My only concern is that bits of it seem a bit too anti-aliased!

Re: lordazamath
Are you a mac user? This doesnt look like windows anti-aliasing!

As far as I know ( he wrote it somewhere ) that he uses Linux ( I don't know what distribution ) and windows vista.
I also like LordAzamath's transmitter more.

Haha.. That's just your creation at the wiki - print screen - replace background with transparency :P I can always tweak it though :P

Thanks for the positive comments :)

And I use mainly Mandriva 2008 and Windows XP (got it downgraded :P Or should I say upgraded??? )

re: the transmitter, I'd say use MrX's tower, one of lordAzmath's angled dishes and one of Purno's face-on dishes. That would give some variety to the look and I think look very good.

I like the forest and agree w/Zephyris, the logs look fresh. Excellent work.

uzurpator - Nice Z1, which brings me to another question... Do we want passenger cars at a full 8/8?

I'll say upgraded.

Here's a new version of battery farm. Batteries are based on cargo icon this time.

All vehicles in Vanilla TTD are 8/8. So it is a matter of chosen style (ie, desired spacing between cars) which option you will choose.

I think that tight coupling looks nice, so that is what I draw.

Anyway - is 2CC yay or nay?

Yay for OpenGFX+, nay for OpenGFX.. We have to have only simple actions, which are allowed to be eg. static..

It is easy to convert from 2cc to 1cc (alter 2nd cc green to blue via the palette, copy into a 32bpp image, copy into an TTD windows palette image), so you may as well do 2cc :D

Actually aren;'t they 7/8 (28px long) if decoded? Possibly they're coded for 8/8, but the actual sprite is a 28px long sprite IIRC

I was bored so I started replacing sprites in trgcr. All that aren't done or I forgot to add are replaced with transparent color. No comments on battery farm?

@EDIT: Updated with forest and foundations.

They are coded as 8/8, since you will be replacing sprites, you can also reset size and offset of the sprite.

Ergo: draw as you wish. If there are more artists, I propose Pioneer Law in regards of sizing.

Hey, I'm all for 8/8... ** Goes to lengthen sprites **

And mr. X. I don't take any credit :). It's just shared purno's sprite (One GIMP tool -> Share)
