First of all - big thanks to authors of such excellent job.

Second - little ask: I don't like option "whole water" and prefer black field around game area, so is it possible to add parameter to .grf to turn on or off "whole water" (and may be other parameters to on/off other possibilities - f.e. animation of water).

I guess that's because LordAzamath wasn't here the past week. :)
Ok, then it's time for some new posts :D. Happily I've not only something to post, but also something to show:

Ready docks, directions \\ and //. (Final or nearly final except the water and ground tiles that are only visible on the edges.)

You don't post often, but when you do, you turn us crazy.

Oh SWEET Red*Star!! Look forward to have that in my game!

So, Zephyris, how are those buildings doing? Really looking forward to seeing them in my game aswell... New buildings will make a HUGE difference on a game.

Waiting on windows at the moment... Shops, old offices and flats are done. More modern offices are needed and special buildings, cinema, stadium, etc. need doing...

Those graphics are terrible! I really look forward to those new houses!
I have a couple of questions for you. First for Red * Star, I don't understand how a dock can have that shape... Is it already possible, is it a just new station tile, or will there be some patch to make it work?

Now for Zephyris, about those special buildings you talk about, if you don't mind I'd love a Ferris Wheel in OTTD. I'd love to do it myself but I'm just so crappy at pixel art, and I don't have any 3D program to use... So if you like the idea and have the time it would really kick ass.

Thanks a lot for you hard work, and good luck for finishing this project!

Did you mean terrific or something? oO because terrible isn't really a positive word last time I checked...

Nor. It's just a compound of the three sprites that will form the two dock directions (slope-up and slope-down). In-game it will look as common, see also http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... start=1261

OK I get it. Thanks for the explanation.

Apart from being busy with RL, I'm kinda waiting for a textured version of my flat building.

Besides, I still need some sprites to be able to start up some coding.

Great to see some good progress, even when the project slowed down a bit!

I have some good to share:
Flyspray #1648 has been implemented. I've completely forgotten about that, but I think it's worth to share with you that Inner Walls of Road Depots now can have Company Colours!
In other words, richk's fine patch has been implemented!

I'm afraid I am writing a dissertation at the moment, ant that takes quite a lot of my time! Hopefully I can get back to major contributions in a couple of weeks...

2. (to richk and developers)

Come on, you only had to ask  the base tiles are found inside this group of sprites.
You might go on with your own version or use the ground tiles as a base for yours. Anyways, I'd not reccomend to make them compatible with the old freight containers adn harbor, since that is already an outdated file.

I'm currently trying to draw some ship sprites for the project. However I've got three questions first:

1. The original ships used the same sprites for each ship type, e.g. oil tankers, ferries, cargo ships. Will this have to happen with the new sprites?

2. If the answer to question 1 is no, can I make the ship sprites different lengths?

3. If people like my sprites, can I think about drawing some extra ships?

Yeah, the new graphics have to be direct 1:1 replacement of the original sprites...
2. If the answer to question 1 is no, can I make the ship sprites different lengths?
They can be slightly different, but should be similar to keep the feel of the old graphics...
3. If people like my sprites, can I think about drawing some extra ships?
An "extended" ship set with extended graphics is a good aim, remember there are only 11 slots for ships in a newGRF...

Fine, those replies make my life easier. So only four sprites are needed over all for the set. (Rubs sweat off brow as he thought he'd promised too much). I'm thinking about drawing one more of each ship type, including a new hovercraft/high speed vessel, which brings the total ships up to the nice round number of 11.

Ooh.. nice to see atleast some progress here..

I'm sorry to announce that I'm not so much around here anymore to get to handle this Project.. So I'll trust Zephyris and Soeb to lead it on, when they have time :) They also can update things in first posts, so you can ask them to do some things too..

But once in a while, I'll pop here again and say or even contrubute something more..

See you around..
