The OpenGFX is starting to look very nice and I really love printing works and other industries. Recently I found some of my houses I've drawn like year ago, so I'm posting them here and you are fully allowed to use them or be inspired by them. I know they're not really fitting in OpenGFX style, but maybe it could help.

Try one or two frames with a smaller ball of fire at the start. An explosion doesn't just appear, something is being blown up very fast.

I think there should be some upward motion in an explosion. Most of that can come from fading from the bottom, but at least some should be the top going upwards.

Sorry for lagging one page back, but I directly when I saw that image I though of the Turning Torso, that has been built in Malmö in south Sweden:

"Only" 90 degree turn and 190 meters tall. There was a documentary on discovery channel some years ago about how they built it. And the tower was built only a little step before the floors and on the top of the raising tower the crane was located. I don't remember if they used a helicopter or how they got it down when the building was completed, but somehow it got down. :)

Zephyris asked me if I could do a modified version of my New Tram Track Set for the OpenGFX project (well, actually, he asked me if he could modify my tram tracks for the OpenGFX project, and then I offered to create the modified version myself).

Anyways, here it is, the OpenGFX newTramTracks v0.1. It replaces everything that should be replaced by Action05 type 0B, that is the tracks and wires, but also the tram depot and four tram GUI sprites.

For the depot, I used the default OpenGFX road depot and have put some stuff from the power plant on top.

While creating the set, I noticed two things: the tram tracks glitch at the tunnel entrances and exits. This is due to how the front piece of the tunnel entrances is cut out. Can be solved relatively easily, so I'll look into that asap.
Second thing: there were action colours in the yellow mouse pointers, so I removed those from the two sprites I needed.

Now: image and download. Have fun!

Here's the updated version of newInfrastructure.

I fixed the tunnel sprites as mentioned in my previous post and I also updated my bus stop graphics where I repaced the company colour benches with wooden ones.

EDIT: I might as well just add the tram stuff to it. Be right back.

Ok, I'm gonna update the first post, but I'd like someone to point out what has been released in meantime, and what is still missing from the grfs :)
OpenGFX Houses/buildings - Zephyris? Do you have the GRF all combined of what you have currently? Could release 0.1

OpenGFX Terrain - v0.4 - I think it doesn't need updating, Zephyris?

OpenGFX Landscape - v0.3 - Was there some hassle with rivers? I think needs updating to 0.4, or is 0.4 already here somewhere?

OpenGFX Infrastructure - v0.4 - As I see, 0.6 is out now, gonna put it in

OpenGFX - newGUI v0.2 - What is missing from the last one you released Zeph?

IMO eyecandy should be maybe put together with infrastructure or landscape..

OpenGFX - newVehicles (v0.1) - have to combine trains, lorrys planes etc to one GRF I think.. Less micromanaging :P. Which means I still need links for the last ones.


OpenGFX newIndustries - v0.5 - Zephyris, what is the current state of it? I know you have drawn them, but how much are undone? And a link please :)

Updated to v0.3.1 with cacti and toyland trees
OpenGFX Infrastructure - v0.6
Tram tracks and rail depots have been added. If you want you can combine with newairports and newbridges and make a v0.7.
OpenGFX - newGUI v0.2
Updated to v0.3, but I have an unreleased WIP v0.4 only missing aqueduct and bridge gui sprites. If you want I can combine with the newfonts and newfaces and release the v0.4. The waypoint sprites need major offset fixing. Maybe put the eyecandy/special effects here?
OpenGFX - newVehicles (v0.1)
There is the newtrains beta (which needs some offset fixing and has a few white line problems), newroad vehicles v0.1 hasn't been updated yet, but will after this weekend and newships v0.1 has been released. No work yet on planes (but I think lead@inbox could do a good job ;) )
OpenGFX newIndustries - v0.5
v0.8 has been released, in addition the water tower, water processing plant, food processing plant, temperate farm and printing works need coding.

Other things which need coding are:
Company HQs (all climate specific ones done)

Attached are the sprites for the explosion I posted earlier if anyone wants to try them in-game...
