Yes, there's a whole replacement set of them. It's not done coding yet though.

Good news!

This morning I had gl2's last version of the trains GRF warm in my message box. All the prior problems seem to be fixed, please test it and post here any bug you might find.

There are only 2 lesser issues:
> the price of train cars cannot be over 500.000Yen or something and hence the SHIKI schnabel car can't be more expensive than that
> by some reason, upon starting a game the locomotives will appear at the end of the purchause list... however saving and loading a game will put everything on its place. Yet gl2 is working to fix this.

Try it and enjoy!

Now only the buildings remain... I hope Aegir has found some time to work a little bit on the last bug report... that would be excellent.

Hi. Such question, that is there something wrong or is it ment to be so that Shinkansen railway look like monorail :roll: Sanchimaru you were drawing some kind of new railway for those quiky trains :roll: :)

Ah, I bet this version doesn't yet use Patchman's code to place the Shinkansen track sprites in the place of both the monorail and maglev sprites, so it works regardless of which you've selected for the third slot. Am I right?

Bingo, ISA, you most likely dont have unifiedmaglev set correctly.

The set look great, although its isnt 100% finished yet and keep up good work too and other thing is: i'm curious does anyone have or working on Japan Secarino? I'm sure this thread reader will want one :D Becasue I'd like to see one badly

Note about the Shinkansen tracks to all players:
You must put the line
unifiedmaglev 2
in your ttdconfig.dat file to have Shinkansen tracks displayed correctly, and not as Monorail.

DSM: whenever we have the buildings ready, we will have some nice scenarios to go with the set :D

This is true, but it doesn't have to be that way. Patchman posted code as to how it wouldn't be necessary, and we should fix it for the final release.

Okay, I'll try and get some work done on the japan set buildings, apart from some tweaks, I think it's pretty close to an announced release (You can find it hiding on my websites files section though if you look).

Aegir, I went there and downloaded the file. But it presents much the same old bugs, so I imagined it was not a new version, but more or less the same I had.

Here you are a basic bug report:

>Too many banks, both large and small even in towns with low population
>Too many Temples and Budhas
>new Temples, Budhas and Castles shall not be built (mostly for castles, not automatically nor by players)
>original TTD houses shall not appear
>graphic glitch in the large and small bank (buildings behind the lower tile are shown over it)
>banks don't produce valuables, just accept them

By the way, since a lot of time has passed, I am preparing some new buildings. I don't know when am I going to have them all ready, but here is a small preview of them (all construction stages are to be done yet)
I realized that the buildings set was missing a lot of residential buildings so I dre a few.

By the way, I was trying to give a new air to the set. I always thought that the company owner faces of the game were horrible. I tried to do japanese faces using the game faces, but the result wasn't quite satisfactory...

Now I'm experimentig with these. They are from a website to create custom "manga" faces, here. I've already asked for permission to use the graphics for the game, and explained them about it.. I hope there will be no problem.[/url]

Interesting.... The seond one in the top row looks like me without glasses, and my hair color is much darker.

I probably just jinxed this so I never get that face, but oh well....

Is there GRF support to add new faces? Or do you just overwrite the existing ones?
