Waiting for cargo and free path at station

Post by ketony »

Is it possible to ask a train to keep loading cargo while waiting (at the platform) for a free path to leave the station? I think conditional orders might help but can't figure out any way I can do this.

No. The path is only checked once loading is finished and its moved on to the next order.
He's like, some kind of OpenTTD developer.

It's a pity if it's not possible. It's what passenger trains would usually do when waiting at stations for faster train to pass or signals to clear for example.

Wouldn't this be possible as a hidden conditional order?

Before train will go: check if there is a clear path > If not, go back to the previous order and continue its second part (loading)
I am sorry for may English. I know is bed.

If you are playing with JGRs patchpack you could define the path out of the station as a slot , and then use a conditional order to check whether the slot is occupied or free.
If the slot is occupied then send the train to the station that its already in which will just keep the train where it already is, so it wont move until the slot is free.
