i supose you could say its a modern building, those don't need chimneys. its all central heating.
JPG SUX!!! USE PNG!!!
There are times when JPG is useful, TTD screenshots is not one of them. Please use PNG instead.

But what if there is gas cook (pretty popular) and\or gas water heater (for hot water)?

Looks very good, IMO. Only the roof seems to have a bit of an unrealistic shape to me, although I do not know that much of buildings.

That's right, connection of roof parts is odd and doesn't look nicely.

Take a look at the attachement

wouldn't you be better off having some kind of tile or slate texture for the roof? you might also want to consider a flat roof with a small brick wall around the outside?

improved...

Messed around with Blender last night and the result is..

Apologies to dmc for stealing his grass, tiles and concrete textures

Although saying that I think we should have a set texture list in a .blend file for the basics and then people can add their own... it would help keep some kind of similarity between the graphics if there are multiple people contributing.
:D

*edit: Added the blend file for both mine and dmc flats... Sorry have to keep them togther as if i spit them up the textures on my building go all wrong..??*

Nice work. I like the glass. Some suggestions.

The top to have a lift core room (just a rectangle in the middle perhaps)
The roof to be set in, ie so people could walk around the top - servise people. Maybe even a pool on the roof?
At ground level, a portico or some sort of entry to the building. And I think as some people has said in the past, something happen at ground level - like planter boxes, post boxes, table/chairs/unbrella's maybe.

Hope that helps :)

Oh, I'm an urban designer with some architectural background (ie 3 yr uni) and I can model some ideas in ArchiCAD if that helps anyone. But I have no idea on Blender though.

that is very cool ;)

Dmh_mac, if you have MSN (do i have your name) or was it you who didn't have it.

it would be awsome to discuss some things with you, and then you can go for gold and feel pretty comfortable in your work being ready for the game. ;)

I'm not sure where to find this. But what's the real world size of one tile? Is it about 25mx25m?

Depends if you talk about buildings, trains, busses, aircrafts, or ships...
