Has anybody tried contacting Chris Sawyer?
Has anybidy contacted Chris Sawyer about all this? What would the likelihood of him giving some of the sourcecode out be? It would be cool, we'd all get different sorts of TTD, sort of like Linux...
TO eat, or not to eat, that is the question

hmm, okay, i thought sawyer would be happy that loyal ttd players like joseph would make extensions of the game. you don't see too many games from the early 90s played in the 00s, especially with the likes of warcraft 3 and simcity 4 around
Edit: and no, i didn't read about the 'not amused' part

TO eat, or not to eat, that is the question
I do recall reading an article about Chris Sawyer no longer owning any of the rights to TT (I doubt he ever did). Remeber now, this is what held TTDLX from being re-released so very long ago. Of course things have changed greatly since then, MicroProse no longer exists and Sawyer has become a hero to game developers everywhere, (he always was one to me).
Negative
Now, I hate to be negative but I think Chris has moved on. In fact he work was started on a sequal for TT but was scraped and the code changed to create RCT but I'm sure we all knew that horrible news.

Well Patchman said that his agency doesn't like it, I don't think Chris actually minds someone is using his "old" software and plays a bit with itPatchman wrote:Yes, he is aware of it. I don't know his personal opinion, but from emails with his agency (Marjacq), it's clear that they don't like it.
It's not that Patchman is making a huge profit of it
Well, back to work, lot's of it in the near future

Question: Has anybody tried contacting Chris Sawyer?
Answer: Yes, though never with the outcome they'd hoped for (e.g. no response, or words to the effect of *OAD)
