Need Help w/ Game Setup - Files and Directories
I have TTDX Windows files on my Hard drive. What is the correct setup - the relationship of TTDX files, the patch, openttd, etc. Do I just put it all in one big directory? Or do I load OpenTTD over the original TTDX files and choose overwrite on the duplicates? What's the differenec between "patch" and "openttd"? Thanks!

For TTDPatch, you extract it into your TTD directory, and you extract ttdpbase.grf or ttdpbasew.grf into a subdirectory thereof called "newgrf".lifemax wrote:What is the correct setup
About the same as the difference between Linux and Windows.lifemax wrote:What's the differenec between "patch" and "openttd"?
But usually we call them either "TTDPatch"/"OpenTTD" or "Patch"/"Open". Note capitalization. "patch" and "Patch" are not the same thing.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.
