It looks rather spiffing

Considering it's still in mid-development phase, it's looking ruddy bloody good. I officially declare this to be a Good Thing.

I can't see Transport Empire being much of a competitor though - it probably won't even be half-finished by the time Locomotion comes out...

Hmmm, you've made me think about something. I wonder what the music will be like?

Hopefully more jazz/blues, or maybe some blues/jazz.

The first thing I thought when I saw the screenshot was "hey this looks like Simutrans." go go Hajo =]

and I think TG looks better. (but makes up in lack of gameplay)

You mean you've never played air-guitar along to Rock Style 2 & 3?

I like the RCT2 songs...
The first thing I thought when I saw the screenshot was: What's this? Another RCT2 expansion?
It looks like RCT2, but worse. But that might be because its a small screenshot (in KB :P)

I HATE the music in TTD. Who in their right mind would have midi music playing on a 7.1 surround sound system. RCT2 is better in the sound department as they were wave files and could all be changed to mp3s with the right format. So you can have the best music in your theme park. I hope I can still do that with this game.

I believe the format used in RCT2 was Owen's favourite - Ogg Vorbis. It'll probably be these that are used in this as a result.

Surely you are aware of the DLL owen made/edited/ripped/whatevered that can make TTD play mp3 files instead?

this is a bit off-topic, but why not just run a mp3 player in the background?

Anyway, I thinl LM looks pretty nice. The screens on gamespot are a bit pixely, but that could be the jpg too.
I think this game will rock.
I heard the stories that they tell of how they labored for this company which sold it's soul to hell

I'm with squishycube.

I just run a media application in the background or put one of my MP3 CDs i the DVD player and stick it on random.

I really don't care what the game sounds like cause I'll get sick of it after a few hours. I prefer the gameplay to anything else.

Personally I would like some genuine traction sounds in there...

Let's have the 37's sounding like 37's, GM's like GM's and some nice whining traction motors for the trams.
